Power conversion

An introduction to geothermal power conversion with emphasis on traditional high temperature sources as distinct from EGP. (pdf, 1MB on external website)

Direct Use

A significant use of energy is heating and cooling buildings and providing of hot water. In some regions such uses amount to up to 40% of electrical energy consumption. Lower temperature geothermal resources or the used fluids from power generation are suitable for 'Direct Use' applications in heating, cooling and industrial processes. This illustration shows temperatures required for various applications.
